How to have champagne, prosecco, sparkling wine and other assorted bubbly arrive at your door…or dock.

Moet and Chandon Champagne NewportIt has recently come to our attention that the Newport lifestyle and champagne are quite fond of one another. Actually, that’s a lie. We’ve known it for, well, decades, as have most other people who’ve set foot in the city. What you might not realize is that you can avoid the hassle of getting in your car and fighting downtown traffic by simply getting a champagne delivery.

After all, champagne is the liquid trapping of wealth and class. Nobody responds to the weary comment “Uhhhh…I had too much champagne last night…” with “Were you at a college party?”

No, a champagne hangover means that you were getting drunk with the established and successful. A prosecco hangover, on the other hand, means a bunch of girlfriends pre-gamed a little too hard before girls’ night out (not that there’s anything wrong with that).

You can get champagne delivered?

It does come to a shock to a lot of people, but yes, you can get liquor delivery in Newport. Bridge Liquors will bring you a bottle or two of chilled Veuve Clicquot or Moet & Chandon Imperial. Hell, they’ll bring a case of Freixenet if you want to share mimosas with a couple dozen of your closest friends (or drink it all yourself. Who are we to judge?).

How do you get your own champagne delivery?

1) Make sure you have money.

There’s a $40 minimum (and you’ll want to toss a few bucks for your driver). Cash and major credit cards accepted.

2) Make sure the store is open and delivering.

Bridge Liquors isn’t open until 9am Mon-Sat and 10am on Sundays.
