Be Doused In Little Compton’s Beauty (Video)

If you want the nutshell version of Little Compton life, this video has captured it.

If there’s two things Little Comptonites know, it’s that they live somewhere beautiful…and they kind of want to keep that knowledge to themselves. Every once in a while, however, someone will let it slip out that Little Compton is a crazily beautiful place. This is at least partly responsible for the flow of cars that can be seen cruising through the town on summer weekends.

In this case, it’s a young lady named Julia Madden who knows all the important Little Compton spots and how to film them who has let the cat out of the bag.

No one who grew up in LC will forget it. Not Wilbour Woods. Not Wilbor House. Not Wilbur School. (Though I’ve only just realized that they’re all spelled differently.)

So for those of you who grew up as Comptonites, this little video will be a nice trip down memory lane to all the places that never change. For those of you who didn’t have the privilege, see what you missed out on. Perhaps you can visit Little Compton yourself. Just make sure you do it in small groups (like…no more than a Jetta’s worth). Otherwise the locals get spooked.

If you’d like to see more of Little Compton on film, check out the feature movie The Passing Season, created by Little Compton’s own Gabriel Long, and after being┬áreleased last year, is available on iTunes and Amazon now.
