Epic Rescue After Crane Tumbles On Sakonnet River Bridge
Traffic in Portsmouth and Tiverton became a nightmare today after a crane accident closed the Sakonnet Bridge.
The Sakonnet River Bridge has been reopened after a terrifying accident left two workers stranded in a bucket below the bridge. A second crane had to be brought in to extract the workers from under the bridge. A vehicle recovery operation was then conducted to straighten the crane and get it off the bridge.

Talk about a serious case of the Mondays. Fortunately, it appears that, aside from the sky-high blood pressure of Aquidneck Island motorists, everyone escaped unharmed.
