Festival Field Shooter BUSTED

Calvin Febles was arrested Thursday night.

The suspect in a April 24 shooting at Festival Field is no longer at large. Calvin Febles, 21, of Middletown, allegedly fled the scene after shooting a 22 year-old Newport man and was on the run until being apprehended in Fall River by US Marshal and Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force, Fall River Police, Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force and Newport Police departments.



Calvin O. Febles has been charged with Felony Assault, Discharge of a Firearm while Committing a Crime of Violence, Firing in a Compact Area, and License or Permit Required for Carrying a Pistol.

On the night of the attack, the victim was taken to Newport hospital with a gunshot wound to his upper torso. He was then transferred the R.I.Hospital where he was last listed in stable condition.

Febles was arrested without incident at a residence by 2990 North Main St. in Fall River.
