6:30 – 8pm Flight School and Food Pairings at Brick Alley Pub

There are two beers here that really stand out.

The first is the Fulton & Wood Series Bee Squad is an 8% abv Bier De Miel-style saison brewed with honey and apricots that was just released in June on an extremely limited basis.

The second is the beer that’s accompanying a chocolate chip cookie pie with bourbon-soaked cherries and whipped cream…Bourbon County Regal Rye. The description for this beer is as follows…

Bourbon County Brand Stout aged in rye whiskey barrels with blackberries, Luxardo candied cherries, fresh sour cherries and sea salt.

This roughly translates to…

Anyhow, check out this rough draft of the menu…

Brick Alley Goose Island Migration week

Tickets for this event must be purchased directly from the Brick Alley Pub.

8-9pm Flash Flock: Gas Lamp Grille

Meet the Brewers and drink their beer. Gas Lamp Grille will have Madame Rose, 2014 Bourbon Country Brand Stout, Green Line Pale Ale, 312 Wheat and Honkers Ale.

9-10pm Flash Flock: Pour Judgement

There’s two things you really need to know about the Goose Island event at Pour Judgement.

  1. They will be pouring 2015 Proprietor’s Bourbon County.
  2. Each year of the Proprietor’s is one of the most limited of the Bourbon County stouts because the recipe changes each year.

Bourbon County Proprietors

Last year, the 2014 Proprietor’s Pour Judgement had on draft for this event featured cinnamon, pepper skin, vanilla, toasted coconut, bittersweet dark chocolate and oak. This year it’s maple, toasted pecans and guajillo peppers.

Last year the Proprietor’s keg sold through in something like a day and a half, which is pretty impressive when you realize that at 14%, it’s not exactly “sessionable”.

In addition to the Proprietor’s there will also be 2013 BCBS and Pepe Nero.
