| West Springfield Police Officer Joseph LaFrance leapt into action to treat a gravely injured man on July 14.
Officer Joe LaFrance was walking with friends in Newport last month when a woman’s screams alerted him to an emergency situation. Joe followed the woman to a house where her husband was lying at the bottom of a flight of stairs, not breathing and bleeding from his ears. Officer LaFrance administered CPR for six minutes before the victim started breathing again. WWLP has the story:
Officer LaFrance said he’s looking forward to meeting the man he saved in the coming months.
