Harriet Tubman.

In March 1822, Harriet Tubman was born a slave, but she escaped, became a “conductor” on the Underground Railroad, leading other slaves to freedom and served as a Union spy during the American Civil War.

Andrew Jackson served as President from March 4, 1829 – March 4, 1837. He was a hero of the War of 1812 in the Battle of New Orleans, a battle most noted for taking place 3 weeks after the war had ended and a peace treaty signed. Otherwise, he’s noted for spending his life being rather mean to the Indians.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew is expected to make the announcement on Wednesday.

So look forward to seeing a female face on the $20 soon.

Alexander Hamilton, who was considered for replacement on the $10 bill will remain there.
