Vice President’s Son Discharged From Navy After Popping Positive For Cocaine.

Hunter Biden, the youngest son of Vice President Joe Biden, was discharged from the Naval Reserve in February after failing a drug test last year. A lawyer by trade, Hunter had only started the process of joining the Navy Reserve in 2012, at the ripe old age of 42. The Christian Science Monitor reports:

In 2013, Mr. Biden was commissioned an ensign through the Direct Commission Officer Program, which each year selects a small number of applicants with civilian skills applicable to military needs. He received a waiver for his age and a second waiver for a drug-related incident in his youth, according to multiple news reports.

Hunter, a founding partner of Washington DC-based law firm Oldaker, Biden, and Belair, LLP, is a partner at Rosemont Seneca Partners, LLC and is Counsel to Boies, Schiller, Flexner, LLP.

He’s also on the board of a Ukrainian gas company in a not-at-all fishy business arrangement.

We do have to say that we are shocked that a high-powered lawyer operating in the high-stakes world of international finance would ever so much as touch a drug like cocaine. We’re also confused as to why a Yale Law graduate would not look at the calendar and not realize that he had drill coming up within the next 3-4 days that cocaine stays in one’s system before going all Scarface on a mound of coke.

Seriously, look at this guy’s Twitter profile pic. Is this the face of a guy who would snort up half of Colombia?

Hunter Biden

Well, maybe.

[Update: Hunter isn’t the first of Biden’s children associated with cocaine use.]
