Where Chrissy Teigen And John Legend Eat In Newport, RI
Christine Teigen and her husband John Legend made a big splash when they came to see the Tennis Hall Of Fame Open and hit a couple Newport restaurants.
Saturday morning, Newport, RI’s Twitter world erupted when a tweet alerted everyone that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend were in town, loved the place and had hit up one of Newport’s restaurants already.
In Newport, Rhode Island and I am in lovvvvvvvve. EVERYTHING is cute. Like even the Panera Bread is adorable.

Well, that’s likely the most social media love any Panera Bread has gotten ever. They were appreciative.
Aww, you’re making us blush Chrissy π

Of course, in the time it took the folks at Panera Bread HQ to realize what was going on, the power couple had checked out the Tennis Hall of Fame Open and grabbed dinner at another “restaurant-er” Newport restaurant and given a…less-reserved recommendation.
The Black Pearl
Thank you for the black pearl recommendation! Had the clam chowder, clams casino and soft shell crab with rice and veg – so good!!

As Newport restaurants go, The Black Pearl has a tad more pedigree. This famous waterfront spot, located on Bannister’s Wharf is family-owned and has been a Newport legend for four decades. Their clam chowder was already legendary, but now it can put another feather in its cap, given Teigen’s hearty recommendation.
Speaking of chowder, it seems that someone started a debate with Chrissy on the subject, leading her to ask a poll question that some found leading and others found absolutely unbiased.
Chowder should be…

If you ask us, Β this is less a question for the masses and one that should probably be researched repeatedly back at the Black Pearl and other Newport restaurants. Hell, given all the offers they had for free meals they received over Twitter, they could do it on the cheap.
So congratulations to The Black Pearl for receiving a huge celebrity endorsement and congrats to Newport’s Panera Bread for the semi-endorsement.
Good job, everyone, especially to The Black Pearl’s chef Danny Knerr, last seen on The Newport Blast in Battle Chefs!
