Cocktail Wars Newport Enters The Semi-Finals!

With competitors from Brix, Fastnet, The White Horse Tavern and the IA competition is escalating quickly!

The winners of weeks 1 & 2 faced off to see who’d make it to the finals.

The competitors:

Erin Burke – The Irish-American Club
Brenna Leveille – Brix Restaurant @ Newport Vineyards
Jonathan Edgell – White Horse Tavern

The spirit of the night:

Broken Shed Vodka

Appearance:  Clear, bright, water white with a silvery sheen

Nose:  Clean, medium notes of green apple, lemon, lime blossom, orange blossom, vanilla, white pepper and anise

Palate:  Clean, medium acid, alcohol is smooth yet fiery with medium plus notes of yellow apple, citrus blossom, blood orange, vanilla, caramel, white pepper and a touch of spice.

Rating:  Very good to outstanding.
