Five Great Newport Bars To Catch Super Bowl LII

By  |  0 Comments

Haven’t figured out where to watch the Super Bowl in Newport? Hit up one of these spots…

Super Bowl LII is upon us and Newporters have a cornucopia of viewing options. If you’re planning to watch the game at home or at a friend’s place, make sure to check out the Super Bowl deals at Bridge Liquors. If you want to want a more social option, there are a bunch of choices. Here are our recommended spots to check out the Super Bowl in Newport.

1. Surf Club

Surf Club is holding their first Super Bowl Party! $30 gets you an unlimited buffet, squares and a chance to win a 50″ flatscreen TV. If you don’t know Surf Club, it’s in the space previously occupied by the Rhino Bar, though it has been entirely renovated and bears no resemblance to the previous venue. There’s a nice craft beer selection and the cocktail menu is on point!

2. Speakeasy

We’ve got no idea what Speakeasy has planned for their Super Bowl buffet, but we do know that at a Super Bowl party there some years ago, we came as close as anyone ever has to overdosing on bacon. So it’s definitely worth a look. The price isn’t bad either.

3. 1908 Public House

The newest bar in Newport! The Super Bowl is happening the day after 1908 Public House‘s grand opening, so expect spirits to be high.

4. Caleb & Broad

Caleb & Broad Newport RI

They’re likely to break out the 120″ projector screen for this game. However, if you’re an Eagles fan, you might not appreciate you’re assigned seating…

4. Midtown Oyster Bar

Ask for Tyler.

5. Parlor

This looks like a great deal…if you’re not an Eagles fan.

After the Game

As always, Pour Judgement‘s Super Bowl Party has sold out, so unless you’ve got a ticket, you won’t be able to watch the game there. That said, once the game’s done, Los Duderinos will be doing their regular Sunday thing. Duderinos drummer and Cleveland native┬áDavid Passafiume Jr. even promoting it with throwback to Belichick’s days with the Browns.

As always, your mileage may vary.
