Goose Island Migrates Into Newport August 1-4

Something tells us that the brewers of Goose Island really liked their visit to our city last year, because they’re hosting all kinds of events here for Migration Week.

Goose Island’s Migration Week is becoming a fun little tradition for Rhode Island beer drinkers. Last year, Newport was the scene for one crazy night of craft beer events, featuring among other beers, their famous Bourbon County Brand Stout and several of its variations. Things kicked off at Midtown, went over to Buskers and finished at Pour Judgement. The rest of the week’s events were held in other Rhode Island locations.

Their time in Newport must have really left an impression on the Goose Island guys, because this year, the focus of Migration Week is pretty much all on the City-By-The-Sea.

Monday, August 1

4-5pm Meet The Brewers at Sandy’s

Pretty self explanatory. Taste beers at Sandy’s Liquor Store.

7-9pmĀ Sunset Sofie Sail on Adirondack II

Set sail on a sunset harbor cruise on the schooner Adirondack II. The featured beer will be, as the name implies, Goose Island’s Sofie, a Belgian-style farmhouse ale where 20% of the beer is aged in wine barrels with citrus peel.

The beer will be paired with brunch offerings from Broadway’s own Scratch.

Admission is FREE but space is limited so you have to RSVP here!

Let’s see what’s happening Tuesday…
