Listen To Westworld’s Haunting Soundtrack

Listen to “Paint It Black” as you’ve never heard it before on the Westworld Soundtrack.

Westworld’s season finale was just shown on HBO and we have to say that the entire series has been incredibly entertaining. Early in the series, we threw it out to Facebook that we really enjoyed the soundtrack, especially the player piano covers of some classic rock hits.

If you have enjoyed the show’s music and want to listen to those track again…or if you haven’t seen it at all and want a glimpse at what you’re missing, you’re in luck, because the Season 1 soundtrack is available on Spotify. Have yourself a listen. It won’t hurt.

Interestingly, Westworld co-creator Jonathan Nolan has said that the player piano was our first “host”, a machine created to derive an emotional response from a human audience. Likewise, tracks like “Black Hole Sun”, “Paint It Black” and “House of The Rising Sun” were chosen were selected for the immediate emotional punch they bring.

We have to congratulate Mr. Nolan. Well played, sir, well played.

Seriously, if you haven’t seen Westworld yet, you really should.
