Actually, this is the subject of some debate. Some do so well at their new careers that they walk away from the service industry forever. Others decide to stay in for a shift or two, figuring that they might as well make a few hundred bucks socializing then spend a similar amount ┬ádoing the same. Still others decide that there’s nowhere they’d rather spend their working years than in a restaurant. It’s ultimately about having the luxury of the choice, especially once you start a family.
