RI’s Sons Of Liberty Distillery Trolls Peyton Manning, Gets National Attention

The Washington Post picked up on their Instagram feed.

If you’ve been around Rhode Island for the last half-decade, you’ve probably seen Sons Of Liberty Spirits for sale at your local bar or liquor store. They burst onto the scene with their Uprising whiskey but have now expanded, not only with a variety of different whiskeys, but also into vodkas and recently, a gin.

Now, they’re getting famous not only for their liquor, but for getting in on a little Patriots-Broncos rivalry as the teams are about to face off in the AFC Conference Championship this weekend.

And now the Washington Post has picked up the story.

Late last month, Al Jazeera reported that Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning received illicit HGH shipments from an Indianapolis anti-aging clinic, having them delivered in his wife’s name so as to keep his name off the shipments. Manning sternly denied the report and blasted Al Jazeera for bringing his wife’s name into it.

And if you thought anyone in New England was going to forget that report ahead of Sunday’s AFC championship game between the Broncos and the Patriots, I have a few slightly deflated footballs to sell you.

Well, here’s to hoping that Peyton Manning gets to spend February 7th sitting back and enjoying Rhode Island’s finest whiskey…while he watches the Patriots win another Super Bowl.

If you’re looking for Sons of Liberty Spirits, you can find them at Bridge Liquors and other fine Rhode Island liquor stores.
